- Dr. Peter Karpinski has over 40 years of experience in the areas of crystallization and precipitation processes in both the academic and industrial contexts.
- He is a named inventor on 27 patents and was awarded Edison Patent Awards for Tasigna® (2013) and EnterestoTM (2015) drugs.
- In his 14 years at Novartis (retd. 2013), Dr. Karpinski had been a leader of both Particle Engineering and Salt & Polymorphism networks and supervised all US salt screening activities, salt/co-crystal programs, polymorphism programs, drug substance property evaluation, single crystal structures, crystallization development studies, as well as all US-based GMP releases for APIs.
- Dr. Karpinski has authored chapters in ten scholarly textbooks, including Large- Scale Aspects of API Salt Manufacture in “Handbook of Pharmaceutical Salts” He has also authored the chapter on Batch Crystallization and Precipitation Processes in the 2019 and 3rd edition of “Handbook of Industrial Crystallization”
- He has published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals, authored over 100 papers presented at national and international symposia.
